In 2023, PT Geni Buana Nusantara undertook significant projects with PT Malinau Hijau Lestari, focusing on the enhancement of wood pellet production processes. The projects involved meticulous pre-treatment and pelletization of wood feedstock, ensuring that the raw materials were appropriately prepared for efficient conversion into high-quality wood pellets. This step was crucial in optimizing the feedstock's characteristics, contributing to better pellet performance and durability.
Further, a comprehensive evaluation of pellet parameters was conducted, examining factors such as density, moisture content, and combustion properties to ensure the produced pellets met industry standards. The projects also included an in-depth analysis of the technology and processes involved in wood pellet production, identifying opportunities for improvements and innovations. These initiatives underscore PT Geni Buana Nusantara's expertise in biomass energy and its commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions through cutting-edge technology and rigorous process optimization.
In 2015, Hafif from Geni was involved as part of the engineering consultant team for a feasibility study commissioned by PT Energi Management Indonesia. The objective of the study was to evaluate the potential of establishing a wood pellet industry, focusing on the technology and processes necessary for the production of wood pellets from available biomass. This study aimed to provide insights into the technical aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring the selected methods would be both efficient and sustainable.
The team member's responsibility in the project included conducting an in-depth analysis of the technology and process involved in wood pellet production. This involved evaluating various production technologies, simulating processes, and assessing their operational efficiency. The outcomes of the study helped to guide PT Energi Management Indonesia in understanding the feasibility of the wood pellet industry and offered recommendations on the most appropriate technologies to implement for large-scale production.
