In 2023, PT Geni Buana Nusantara collaborated with the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) on a pivotal project aimed at enhancing Indonesia's renewable energy landscape. The primary focus was to consolidate a comprehensive database of captive power plants across the country. This involved gathering and systematizing data to create a robust resource for understanding the distribution and capacity of these power plants.

Additionally, the project included a thorough assessment of renewable energy potential at these sites.
