Wind Energy as New and Renewable Energy for Power Generation
Date
2017
Location
Bungin Village, Bekasi, Jawa Barat
Project type
Technical Study
In 2017, a project was initiated to explore the utilization of wind energy as a source of new and renewable energy for power generation in Bungin Village, Bekasi, Jawa Barat. This project was part of the ICCTF (Indonesia Climate Change Trust Fund) program, coordinated by BAPPENAS (The Ministry of National Development Planning), aimed at increasing renewable energy access in rural areas. The initiative was designed to harness wind energy to generate electricity for the local community, reducing reliance on conventional energy sources and promoting environmental sustainability.
A member from PT Geni Buana Nusantara was appointed to the energy planning and development team for this project. Their responsibilities included overseeing the procurement of wind turbines and solar desalination systems, both essential for ensuring reliable power and clean water supplies. Additionally, they managed the technical development process, ensuring that all aspects of the project, from design to implementation, adhered to the required specifications and timelines, thereby contributing to the successful development of the renewable energy infrastructure in Bungin Village.
